The First Penn-KIST Joint Symposium

PENN KISTDecember 5, 2016
9:00am – 6:30pm
Singh Center for Nanotechnology
Glandt Forum

This symposium will bring together researchers from Materials and Life Science Research Division (MLSRD)Korea Institute of Science and Technology (KIST) and Penn at SAS and SEAS with common interests in advanced nanomaterials, metamaterials, and composites. By engineering their structures from nano- to macro- using top-down and directed assembly approaches, as well as kirigami, we aim to explore their applications such as nanophotonics, solar harvesting, nanomechanics, EMI shielding, and catalysis.

Participants from Materials and Life Science Research Division, Korean Institute of Science and Technology (KIST)

Dr. Won-kook Choi (Director)
Dr. In-Suk Choi
Dr. Seungchul Kim
Dr. Chong-Min Koo
Dr. Kahyun Hur
Dr. Seok-Joon Kwon

Participants from the University of Pennsylvania

Prof. Nader Engheta
Prof. Randall D. Kamien
Prof. Daeyeon Lee
Prof. Christopher Murray
Prof. Alison Sweeney
Prof. Shu Yang

Sponsors: Office of Vice Provost of Research, SEAS, University of Pennsylvania and
